PRECIOUS GOUGH

"MY HERITAGE IS BUILT ON COMMUNITY, WHICH DRIVES MY PASSION TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER THROUGH WHAT I DO”

MY STORY

HOW IT STARTED

I’m Precious Gough, a Zimbabwean born British national, based in the south of England and CEO of PM Home.

My background is a multicultural one, in that I come from the Ndebele people of Southern Zimbabwe but was raised in the Shona (Zezuru people) community which allowed me to see and experience the diversity and richness of the different cultures that make up who I am.

When I relocated to the UK, I was very excited to learn and understand English culture and traditions, ultimately settling down to call England my home, falling in love and started a family.

During the lockdown of 2020, I decided to pursue my passion of baking and home decor. In the process I was inspired to create something that would allow me to fuse my African heritage with British culture in a modern contemporary way. With that being said, the ‘Abanda’ print collection was born.

I took inspiration from the Ndebele print and the ethos of the Ndebele women and how they use their artwork as a way to communicate. The Abanda print which we custom designed, in itself also holds a coded message just as the Ndebele print would have, which is really exciting.

Ultimately my wish is to bring a touch of heritage, luxury and quality to British and international homes in all aspects, from the lounge, dining room, kitchen all the way to the bedroom and bathroom. Providing high quality handmade products produced in limited numbers to ensure quality and attention to detail.

I’m so excited to share my products with the world and truly hope you will love them as much as I do. Thank you for supporting PM Home.
